I am

Thu Apr 24, 2008, 12:58 PM
I am a house.

Some, I invite in.

A few have ventured beyond the main rooms, the parlor, the kitchen...

A handful have even ventured beyond the main floor. To the eager thoughts and introspections that sit outside any casual conversation.

And maybe one or two have seen where I rest. Where inhibitions fall away. Where I retreat to forget the pace of the world and the judgments that so often bind me there.

But there is a room so dark that I can only guess what lies within.

This space I can only blindly wander through.

This place that I would never invite you in.

Thanks for the favorite, thanks even more for the return to DA. You've posted the most interesting journal in another space and time, which I've read several times and still have yet to frame a suitable reply. I just thought I'd let you know, it's safe and sound in my inbox, waiting to fully inspire.

Be yourself. Just be. That is all you need to do to impress me.

is that really your name?
:iconh-haller:
No hon, it's not. It's from a novel written in the 1930's by Hermann Hesse called Steppenwolfe. H-Haller (or Harry Haller) is the lead character. He has forgotton how to live, love and dance. Tragic.
